Borussia Dortmund and Arsenal are trying to find a viable solution for their players, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Ousmane Dembele.
With the coronavirus pandemic in the summer window causing the absence of big-money transfers, swap and part-exchange transactions are likely to become normal as clubs are forced to reconsider their transfer strategies.
According to Mundo Deportivo, and a straight-swap agreement is a plausible option for both clubs.
The future of Aubameyang remains a big concern for the Arsenal leadership, with the club captain’s deal due to expire next summer without any renewal in sight.
Meanwhile, since his arrival from Borussia Dortmund, Dembele has struggled to hit the ground running at Barcelona- being limited to just five appearances in La Liga during a 2019-20 injury hit campaign.
However, Barcelona is apparently not giving up in their search of Inter Milan’s Lautaro Martinez, and Dembele is one of many first-team members that the Catalan giants will be willing to unload to collect the necessary funds for the striker.
