Atlético de Madrid have signed defender Nahuel Molina from Udinese Calcio for a reported fee of €10 million

Atlético de Madrid have signed defender Nahuel Molina from Udinese Calcio for a reported fee of €10 million. The deal includes €5 million in variables.

Atlético de Madrid announced: “The Argentinian defender becomes a new Red & White player after the agreement reached between our club and Udinese Calcio.

“Nahuel Molina (Embalse, Argentina, April 6, 1998) is already a new Atleti player after the agreement reached between our club and Udinese. Molina signs for the next five seasons with our club.

“The Argentine international has played the last two seasons in Serie A with Udinese, club with which he has played a total of 68 games, scoring 10 goals and providing 7 assists. The Argentine full-back stands out for his versatility on both flanks, his defensive ability and his potential to project himself in attack.

“His performance in Italy did not go unnoticed by Lionel Scaloni. Who gave him his debut for Argentina in the South American qualifiers for the World Cup. Nahuel Molina played 5 games in the Copa America 2021, which the Albiceleste won.

“After passing medical tests at the Clínica Universidad de Navarra. A player with experience in Europe capable of playing in both full-backs arrives at our club. He is a serious player in defence who is very good in attack. Proof of this is that he is a great assistant for his teammates. He is also a good shot-stopper, another of the qualities that make Molina a very complete player.

“Welcome, Nahuel!”
