Arsenal transfer roundup: First signing of the window revealed

Arsenal are sure to have an eventful summer transfer window ahead. The club is expected to bring in a striker as mentioned by the manager himself. Mikel Arteta commented about their strategy recently. The Spaniard said: “We are going to have certain resources, not unlimited resources, some resources.

“And with our resources we have to play and do what we have to do in the best possible way. We don’t know what the rest are going to have in terms of resources, which I’m assuming is going to be challenging because now it’s not a top three or top four league. Now it is a top eight or 10 teams that are involved. That’s why we have to find a way to do again what we did last summer.”

Arsenal transfer roundup: New England Revolution’s Matt Turner done deal?

The club has been rumoured to link with USA international Matt Turner. Turner has already revealed his dream of playing for the North London club.

“When I’m on FIFA, I’m looking at the first team in the Premier League is Arsenal, and I said, ‘Oh, that kind of makes sense.’ And then I just kind of stuck with them,” Turner said. “Then I learned about their history, about Highbury, and their move to the Emirates, and just all – you know, The Invincibles – everything about Arsenal. Thierry Henry, who was playing with Red Bull [New York] at the time. It all just kind of made sense.

“So obviously then you dream, right? You dream and you want things to happen for you in your life, and you don’t really see a clear path of how they’re going to happen, but you just trust the work and trust your dream every single day, and continue to work hard, be self-aware, know what you need to work on, and listen to your coaches around you that have your best interests in mind.”

Few reports suggested Turner to Arsenal transfer is a done deal. In this situation, USMNT might have just revealed the decision. The official twitter handle of USMNT tweeted: “We can’t forget the Gunners! Sup, @Arsenal fans?”
