Arsenal reportedly intends to make a fresh approach to playmaker Philippe Coutinho in Barcelona in the coming weeks.
The Gunners were heavily linked to Coutinho’s move earlier in the summer transfer window.
But there was minimal talk about the switch to the Emirate Stadium in September.
Still, the Premier League outfit is said to feel confident that Barcelona officials would allow the transfer to take place should they receive an appropriate offer.
According to Sport.es, Arsenal is not prepared to give up on the former Liverpool man, aware that the Catalan giants may need to strengthen their financial position.
After all, the La Liga club has recently raised funds for the sale of Nelson Semedo and Arturo Vidal. Luis Suarez is also on the verge of signing for Atletico Madrid.
Newly appointed Barcelona boss Ronald Koeman is said to want to keep Brazil international in his squad for the 2020-21 campaign. But Barca’s financial position may give Arsenal a shot at buying him.
