Paris Saint-Germain is expected to lose Adil Aouchiche on a free transfer after the player as he landed in Saint-Etienne for the first part of a medical.
In August 2019, Aouchiche made his PSG debut, starting the 2-0 win over Metz before being replaced in the 65th minute.
Thus far, Aouchiche has resisted PSG’s efforts to bind him to his first professional deal with the attacking midfielder exploring his choices as he plans to depart the champions of the Ligue 1 in the future.
Arsenal had brief discussions with representatives of the player but no contract offer was made so a move for the Frenchman was not seen as possible.
Club officials are expected to arrive to continue negotiations later on Friday, with the Ligue 1 side being aware that Aouchiche is attracting interest from elsewhere.
Goal reports that the highly-rated 17-year-old arrived with two of his representatives in Forez on Thursday evening and went through formal medical checks with ASSE on Friday to register with the team.
